Koninginnedag or Queensday is the day we cellebrate the birthdayon our Queen. Our previous Queen; Juliana was born on April 30th, when in 1980 Beatrix became Queen, she proclaimed that Queensday would still be held on April 30th as a tribute to her mother.

In our town we have a parade of dressed up schoolchildren, they parade through the streets to the townhall, where they sing and listen to a speech by the major.
There are several festivities all over town that day.

The Queen usualy visits 2 towns in the country to celebrate, this is broadcasted on TV.
